Would this help me lose ANY weight?

http://gymratz.co.uk/discount-cardio-fitness-equipment/usrimage/johnson%20rower.jpg

above is a rowing machine, i have one in my house. i was wondering if I did it probably everyday for two weeks for half an hour, would it help me lose any weight at at all in 2 weeks? I am going on holiday in 2 1/2 weeks but I need to lose weight before then. mind i am 15 and i want to look better in my bikini.
answers as soon as possible please :)
thanks a lot in advance
Thank you ‘Finley’ but I would rather just use my rowing machine. I appreciate the answer though, I really do :) . Thank you first answerer. I will probably do that. I have done it before. It’s not that hard for me, so I will do it 3 or 4 times a week. thanks!

Rowing is a seriously good exercise. It’s a great cardiovascular trainer and you get some extra muscle workout as well.

30mins is quite a lot to uphold though. Don’t do it every day or you’ll burn out – especially if you haven’t done it before. Do it 3, maybe max 4 times a week.

Good luck.

and can someone help give a good definition of what transactions go into the general journa/ cash payments journal? still get confused sometimes
thanks :D

You just need to see what is the originating transaction. If it says a cheque is issued and gives you the cheque no., then it’s the Cash payments journal. If a purchase of trading inventory is made on account, it’s the Purchases journal. If a sale is made on account, it’s the Sales journal. If cash is received, it’s the cash receipts journal. Other than these 4, it usually goes to the General journal

How To Save Money On Treadmills

While other home exercise fitness equipment and infomercial gimmicks gather dust, treadmills continue to gain more popularity and get the results people are looking for. You can find lots of treadmills at a significant discount online, saving you a lot of money. The great attraction of a home treadmill is being able to exercise whenever you want, regardless of the weather. You can easily read a book or watch over the kids while you work out on your home treadmill.

Treadmill belt widths generally range from 17″ to 22″ and lengths from 51″ to 61″. Treadmill cushioning absorbs the force of your step; get good cushioning to lower the impact on your joints and ligaments. Choose a longer treadmill belt of 54″ or more if you or a family member has long legs.

A heart rate monitor enables a treadmill to automatically adjust the speed and/or the incline to keep your heart rate within the most optimum zone. Less expensive treadmill models require you to manually change the incline, which can be very frustrating if you want to make adjustments midway through a workout session. One feature that is absolutely necessary in a home treadmill is an emergency stop button or a safety key that automatically shuts off the power if you should stumble, trip or fall.

Display panels should be easy to read and straightforward to operate. The console indicates the belt speed and other factors, such as heart rate, miles per hour, and distance. The newest models of treadmills come with many extra features that you may not need.

One of the key things to remember is that the larger motors tend to run cooler and usually require less repair and maintenance. Features such as extra cup holders, built-in fans, CD players and other electronic gizmos may be handy but not essential for you to get an ideal workout.

Be aware the better quality treadmills can cost as much as $5000 and have a lot of bells and whistles you don’t need. Do your research; treadmills are an important investment, regardless of the price, and if it’s not right for you, you don’t want to find out after you’ve set the treadmill up at home. One indication of the likely longevity of any treadmill is to check out the length of the manufacturer’s warranty; the longer the better.

Warranties can last for ninety days or a lifetime, read the fine print. Treadmill manufacturers are competing for your business and price wars are creating big savings for buyers. Buying a treadmill online has become the way to go for most people; it’ll save you both time and a lot of money.

A noisy treadmill can upset other family members or roommates and even your neighbors if you live in a duplex, apartment or condominium. Most manufacturers of commercial treadmills found in gyms and health clubs also produce home versions.

If you’re looking for a heavy-duty treadmill that can withstand running as well as walking, be prepared to spend more money.

Less expensive treadmill models may be fine for walkers but may not hold up as well for regular or seasoned runners. When buying a treadmill, the best savings will be for an online purchase, generally saving up to 45% over brick and mortar stores.

It’s best to buy a treadmill that has at least a one-year warranty. Make sure to add the cost of shipping when buying a treadmill online; quality models can be heavy and shipping will cost more, but some manufacturers do offer free shipping.

The lack of wind resistance makes running on a treadmill slightly easier than it would otherwise be on an equal elevation grade outdoors. Whether you use a treadmill to walk, jog or run, the units are very effective at burning calories, raising heart rate and developing aerobic capacity.

To get even more workouts, think about making your treadmill into a walking, working office by adding a mini-platform to the side rails. Running or walking on a treadmill is an effective way to workout compared to other more complex cardiovascular exercises.

Make sure to take your time and choose a treadmill that fits your fitness goals. For most people buying a home exercise treadmill is going to be a major investment. You can save a lot of money by buying treadmills online. No matter what your reasons are for buying a treadmill, be sure to find one that fits your needs and the needs of your family.

Help with user requirements for object oriented analysis and design?

For the Fitness Centre Case Study construct user requirements. Can you give me some help and tell me exactly what i am meant to do.

Walford Fitness Centre includes a gymnasium and resources to run various classes such as Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics and Circuit Training. You do not need to be a member to use the gymnasium or attend classes. Non-members are charged a fee each time they use facilities at the centre.

At present, there are two membership types or categories – ‘Premium’ and ‘Gold’.

• ‘Premium’ members pay an annual fee and a discounted rate for each visit to the gymnasium. They pay a fee before attending any fitness classes.

• ‘Gold’ membership costs more (currently six times the ‘Premium’ rate). ‘Gold’ members do not pay any further charge to use the gymnasium or take part in classes (these are all included in their membership fee).

A potential member needs to complete an application form to join Walford Fitness Centre. Once the application is processed, a member is provided with a membership card that has the member’s name and membership number. Currently the membership number also appears as a bar code. A member may attend as many gym sessions or as many classes as they want to.

Each time a member enters the Fitness Centre the membership card must be presented to the receptionist. The receptionist scans the card into the computer system to make sure that the person is a current member, record attendance and in the case of a ‘Premium’ member the system would also display the fee to be collected. Usually a ‘Premium’ member would pay at this stage. However, sometimes a member might forget the membership card and the membership record may be retrieved using a name search. It is not unusual to have members arriving having forgotten their wallet. If they do not have money a member might still be permitted to use the facilities, the amount owing being recorded on the system. Any money owed would be displayed when a membership card is scanned on a following visit. There is a pre-set limit to the amount of credit that can be allowed by the system. Membership may lapse or be terminated by member request.

Each training session is identified by a code which has an associated description, instructor’s name (if any) and membership fees. Each working day is also divided into time slots. Each time slot has been assigned a charge to use the equipment. For example, it is cheaper to use the fitness centre before 09:00 as this is considered ‘off peak’. The ‘peak’ rate tariff/charge begins at 09:00. Weekend time slots come with a higher charge. Irrespective of whether it is a training session or a daily time slot, for the staff at the centre it is a ‘resource’. A manger needs to set up each of these resources initially and amend the entry when there are changes to the charges.

The centre sends out letters to members asking them to renew their membership one-month before membership expires. Usually, members would renew their membership on receipt of the letter and there is no provision for sending any reminders. When a member presents a card and if membership had expired the system would display the amount of money it costs to renew the membership. The member is given the option to pay the fee and continue his membership when the membership record is re-activated. Although membership fees are relatively low, there are people who find it inconvenient to pay the fee as a single payment. Because the centre sees itself as a service to the local community and not a profit making business, such members may be permitted to pay the fee in two or three instalments spread over a few months. Expired membership records that remain in the system are archived after three months for audit purposes. After that if a previous member wishes to re-join, they must complete a new membership application. It is not unusual for the membership to increase substantially at the beginning of a new year as people make resolutions to look after their health. Unfortunately, a significant number of these newcomers drop out after a few attendances.

At the end of each day the duty manager requires two reports from the system. One such report relates to the money collected that day for reconciliation and safe keeping. The money collected on a given day is banked the following morning. The duty manager also receives an activity report showing attendance figures.

Some transactions are through credit cards and bank debit cards. These cards are scanned and the transactions processed remotely by an agency. A senior manger receives a weekly report containing all transactions and attendance figures. These figures are important as some training sessions may need to be discontinued or amalgamated with others if the depending on numbers attending.

Whenever there is a computer systems failure the back up procedure is to record attendance on paper. The attendances for each training session or gymnasium ‘time slot’ are listed. The rec

Discount Treadmills, Do You Get What You Pay For?

With discount treadmills, as with any other purchase in life, a bargain can only rightly be called a bargain if the price we pay turns out to be a good investment over time. For example, just as there is little real discount value in purchasing a designer outfit at a great price if its not something we really like to wear, investing a smaller amount of money in discount treadmills is not the wisest financial choice if your new discount treadmill ends up not meeting your exercise needs.

In our often high-priced consumer world, there is little doubt that finding great discount treadmills offers a special thrill, this is why shopping for discount can become such an addictive affair! But unlike many of the other items we purchase on a regular basis, such as food or household items, a discount treadmill will be something we hope to invest in only once. Discount or no, and whether we find refurbished treadmills or used treadmills for sale, a piece of fitness equipment of this size is undoubtedly an investment, so when you choose your discount treadmill, you want to be sure that you choose right.

So what should you look for in discount treadmills? While finding used treadmills for sale can offer you a great initial bargain, even the most honest of second hand sellers cannot help you if the used treadmill you purchase develops a problem down the line. Used treadmills for sale usually cannot carry over the initial warranty with which they we re sold, so unless you are sure that the used treadmills for sale that you view are in top condition, you might want to pass on the deal and find discount treadmills elsewhere.

Refurbished treadmills are a great discount treadmills and if they were refurbished by the original treadmill manufacturer, they should still be under some kind of warranty. Though this warranty will probably be somewhat limited when compared with the original treadmill guarantee, refurbished treadmills still offer a great discount treadmill deal. Just be sure to look for factory refurbished treadmills, as this ensures that you will be able to avail of that discount treadmills warranty should you need to.

Of course treadmill stores are also a great source of discount treadmills, you just need to keep your eyes peeled for great discount treadmill deals. Some stores will sell older models at a great discount price when new treadmills are released by a particular manufacturer, so keep your finger on the fitness pulse to help you predict when great discount treadmill deals might become available.

Above all, remember not to sacrifice discount treadmills prices for quality or suitability. Its not a bargain if its not the right discount treadmill for you!
